See Aware Design work

Try the working Waypost demonstration, see what changes, and understand what it does—and does not—prove.

On this page — choose a section

Start with the small workshop example: choose what you want to know and see that answer move first. The builder guide shows the rule and the ordinary page used when there is no answer. Neither example guesses your identity or uses an AI model to generate content.

Waypost is a separate public demonstration of a fictional advisory business. It provides a longer, multi-page exercise with its own controls. You leave this site when you open it; do not enter real personal details into its example forms.

Three things to try

1. Arrive through an introduction

The tour gives you a partner link. Follow it and look for the referral welcome and testimonials near the top of the page. The link supplies context, not identity: the site knows how you arrived, not who you are.

2. Compare, then come home

Start on pricing, visit case studies, and return Home. Evidence and pricing move above the general introduction to the services. Open What changed to see the order of the page sections and why it changed. All ordinary navigation remains available; the site is offering a useful order, not deciding where you are allowed to go.

3. Exercise the off switch

Open Privacy and choose Nothing. The site returns to its ordinary page order and remains useful. You can also explicitly choose Remember me to try a welcome-back on your next visit. That memory is confined to this device. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, a privacy preference signal, the demo will not offer remembered mode.

What is real, and what is illustrative?

Scroll sideways if needed to read the whole table.

Part of the demonstration What it establishes What it does not establish
Referral and browsing exercises Actual page visits feed rules that suggest a task and change the order of page sections. That an inferred intention is always correct.
Privacy controls You can see what information the demonstration uses and choose the ordinary experience. A legal certification or an independent privacy audit.
Concierge budget A scripted answer feature yields to ordinary site links when its allowance is spent. The quality, cost or safety of a production language model.
Industry selector The same software displays examples from different fictional industries. Automatic detection of your industry.
Example outcomes and testimonials How relevant proof could be presented in a real engagement. Measured customer results, conversion lifts or clinical outcomes.

This is a demonstration of working software, not a test of your website. It does not provide a validated Aware Design score. The immediate evidence is something you can reproduce: a changed welcome, a different content order, and a usable neutral page.

From a working example to evidence of value

A real evaluation should ask whether people complete their intended task more easily—not simply whether the page moves. Compare the ordinary and adapted experiences on a defined task. Check completion, time to a useful answer, wrong assumptions and whether people can use the privacy controls. Report the method, sample size and limitations with any result.

We do not claim that the fictional businesses in this demonstration achieved those outcomes. The fictional worked example explains a possible application; it is not a customer case study.
